   Hacker Mei traces a stolen corp feed back to a neural-implant signature. The signature is her dead sister's.

   Mei freezes. The login is timestamped four minutes ago.

   The Bazaar Fixer

   Mei finds her sister's old fixer in the night bazaar. The fixer is alive. Mei is not supposed to know that either.

   The fixer says: 'Your sister isn't dead. She's been working for the man who killed her parents.'

   The Boardroom Feed

   Mei taps into a corp boardroom meeting via the stolen implant signature. The executive at the head of the table is the man who paid for her family's funeral.

   The executive looks directly into the camera. He smiles. He waves.

   The Merc's Offer

   A merc Mei has never met blocks her path in the street rain. He hands her a sealed phone. The voicemail is her sister's voice.

   The Penthouse Setup

   Mei breaks into the executive's penthouse. She finds her sister's old room — preserved exactly as it was the night she died.

   Her sister's neural-implant box is on the bed. Empty. The implant is currently logged in to the corp feed downstairs.

   The Subway Confrontation

   Mei traces the implant signal into the abandoned subway. Her sister is there — older, scarred, alive, and wired to the executive's network.

   Her sister whispers: 'I had to disappear. He had a file on you that would have ended us all.'

   The Helipad

   Mei meets the merc at sundown. The merc is the executive's son. He has been waiting for her since the funeral.

   'My father killed your parents. I have the proof. I want him buried alongside them.'

   Mei and her sister log in to the boardroom feed together. The executive sees both of them on the same channel. He understands.
